The mission of the ADFP is to heighten awareness of the benefits of divorce financial planning so it will become an integral part of the divorce process.
Divorce Financial Planners are experts who are trained and experienced in researching and analyzing personal, business and tax issues related to divorce. We help individuals, couples, matrimonial attorneys and divorce mediators to achieve fair and workable agreements. We use special divorce financial software to produce powerful graphs and charts that demonstrate the financial consequences of settlement proposals for the long term and to recommend alternatives. Members of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners work closely with clients both during and after divorce.
ADFP members must meet educational, professional, licensing and compliance requirements. Our practitioners aim for a high level of excellence and agree to maintain 15 hours of continuing education in divorce every two years as well as abide by the ADFP Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
The ADFP is establishing local chapters throughout North America. If you are interested in establishing a chapter in your area, please call us at 888-838-7773 or click here.
